Program Ministries
Covenant Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is organized around seven standing program ministries. Each ministry provides a critical role in the life of the church. All of our ministries work together towards the common goal of furthering the spiritual journey of each person that enters through our doors. Learn more about each ministry below

Fellowship Groups
Covenant has several fellowship groups to provide additional spiritual growth.
Disciples Women Ministry
All women at Covenant are members of the Disciples Women’s Ministry. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education, and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ.
In addition to our local events, the Disciples Women remain active in the regional and the general church. A lot of fun is in store at our annual Regional Disciples Women retreat at Christmount, in Black Mountain, where we enjoy Keynote speakers, singing, workshops, pure relaxation, and of course shopping!
For more information about our local events, including circle group meetings and book clubs, please check Covenant’s Newsletter and Calendar for all the details!
Disciples Men Ministry
Covenant’s Disciple Men’s Group meets monthly (normally the second Saturday of the month) for breakfast and a meeting to share fellowship and support Covenant, its members, and the community. The group is a mix of ages: young men to seniors. Together we prepare and enjoy a good meal (pancakes and sausage) with discussion of relevant issues of interest.
The Men’s Group organizes “beautification efforts,” clearing brush and debris from the church property. Outreach to help others includes participation in the Warmth for Wake program. Activities include periodic golf outings and participation in the North Carolina Disciple Men’s Group. The group has fun and strengthens the community of Covenant Christian Church.
